Self Published Poetry Chapbook
I Can't Stop The Bleeding
August, 2023
My second self published poetry book, complete with mixed media illustrations I created based around the themes of depression and dealing with mental health.

Written over the course of multiple years and complete with hand drawn illustrations, this chapbook dives into the depths of depression, the weight of sadness, and the struggle of recovery. Inspired by personal real-world struggles with mental health through the pandemic, these drawings and poems shine a light on the feelings that many would rather keep hidden in the dark and serves as a glimpse into the mindset of how it feels to contemplate ending your own life.
Trigger warning: This book openly discusses and talks about potentially distressing or disturbing topics such as suicide, depression, blood, and more. Your mental health is more important than consuming any form of media so if you do not feel you are in the proper headspace to consume media about these topics, please take care of yourself and come back when you are ready.
With love,
Sarah

Flash Fiction
Food Magic and You and I Are Disappearing
September, 2021
Two flash fiction pieces created around the theme "real magic". My goal was to draw from real life experiences and reflect on the magical elements of them. Food Magic reminisces on my grandparents' cooking, while You and I Are Disappearing focuses on the rise and fall of a relationship.

Art
Smoke and Noise
May, 2019
Mixed media art pieces. I employed a coloring technique using washi tape, which is a semi translucent tape that is usually colorful and patterned. I placed the tape over a drawing and used a knife to cut out the shapes. I wanted to create something beautiful but strange, with a focus around cloud and smoke-like shapes.

Short Film
Olive
October, 2018
A short film that I wrote, directed, and starred in made in response to the themes of death in memorial. Additionally, the film reflects on death and hate crimes towards the LGBT community, as well as my Chinese heritage. The film was completed in about a one year, starting with scriptwriting and ending with a screening at Open Books, Seattle. This film was made and published in tandem with that play Vicinity / Memoryall, written by Christine Deavel and J.W. Marshall.
